Published in 1980, this ground-breaking book by Mr. Nemati was the first comprehensive investor's guide to oriental rugs. It includes a historical perspective and description of Persian, Turkish, Chinese, Caucasian, Indian, Turkoman and Pakistani rugs, and an assessment of investment opportunities for carpets from the 19th and 20th century. The Splendor of Antique Rugs and Tapestries
Published in 2001 and distributed by Rizzoli, this 408 page volume explores the history of Oriental and European carpets and tapestries, and features 300 color plates of exceptional examples from Mr. Nemati's personal collection. Published in three editions.
Shawls of the East
Published in 2003 and in large format like his prior texts, this work by Mr. Nemati covers the history of shawls, from their earliest origins as the favored apparel of royal princes in Persia and India, to their increasing popularity as a fashion statement and collectible for women worldwide. 332 pages with 42 color plates showing works from Mr. Nemati's collection.
